Hello, I am new to this forum and was hoping to get some advice from you kind people. About 6 years ago I was naive enough to let my then-boyfriend get a telephone account in my name, which of course got run up and eventually disconnected. He told me that after so many years the phone company erases their records, so I just let it go. Well, now I'm a bit more grown up and knowing that this is catching up with me. I recently applied for a credit card and was denied. Subsequently, I get contacted by Asset Acceptance, who apparently has my account now for the phone bill.

Hi I need help. I have around three credit cards bills and all of them I have used the credit line. I owed around 15,000 dollars just in those credti card. My apr is really high on one is 21 and the other two is 9.44. I also owe my car loan. I don't know what to do. I just lost my job and I'm behind in all my bill payments. I need help please give me an advice.

I have about 45,000 secured debit (equity line) and about $40,000 unsecured debt, I am never late with payments and pretty much pay double on my higher apr cards. But my wife is pregnant with our second child and would like to stay home now. Should I file bankruptcy and count my losses then move on?

How far is debt reduction program different from debt consolidation? Also, if I choose for a debt reduction program, do I have to include all my debts into the program or can I choose from my debts, which one needs to get resolved. Hi, there...I'm getting divorced and have learned that I have a lot of debt because bills in my name weren't paid (he was in charge of the money), and I am way behind on things. Is it really true that some companies will give loans to paople like me? I am willing to do whatever it takes to get out of debt and get my credit back on track! My total debt is approximately $6,000. Lots of medical bills, and old utilities. Any advice or help would be a blessing. Thanks... :wink:
